The MEGURO Lounge Chair and Ottoman, designed by Naoto Fukasawa, are newly introduced pieces in the MARUNI COLLECTION. With broad contours and organic curves, the set expresses a sense of familiarity—crafted to become a personal favorite in both residential and hospitality spaces. The armrests are sculpted in a fluid, organic shape that invites touch. The precise carving showcases Maruni’s solid wood craftsmanship, where sharp edges meet substantial volume with clarity and refinement. Flowing from the wide surface of the backrest into the slender front legs, the arms form a graceful linear structure. |

The cushions of the backrest and seat have notable depth and softness. Yet, thanks to the refinement and definition provided by molded plywood, the overall form maintains a sense of lightness and a well-balanced relationship with the slender frame. Precisely proportioned to sit within the shell, the cushions leave a subtle edge of the wood visible from the front—quietly framing the upholstered surface. The molded plywood of the seat and back is finished with carefully selected straight-grain veneer, arranged in a book-matched pattern. This subtle detail enhances the beauty of the chair when viewed from behind. Paired with a matching ottoman, the MEGURO Lounge Chair forms a complete set that enhances any space.
