Maruni Safety Measures and Information

As an international company, we worry about the effects that the coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on the world. Maruni Group is continuing to operate normally, hoping that the global situation will return to usual as soon as possible.

Although our facilities are not affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) we are taking the necessary precautions to protect our employees. Please be informed that deliveries may be affected due to local restrictions.

1. Manufacturing
Maruni manufacturing is operating as usual and production time is not delayed in general. However, some products may be affected in the case that there is a lack of parts from suppliers. Please consult your sales contact for the actual production time.

2. Delivery and Transportation
Currently, no delay in transportation within Japan has been reported. However, the status of consignee’s warehouses and transportation may differ in each country. If necessary, please consult your Maruni sales contact to check the current status of your orders.
We would also like to ask our partners for their cooperation in sharing with us if their warehouse has special operations to follow during this time.

3. Maruni Group Healthcare Measures
Per WHO, the likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, traveled, and exposed to different conditions and temperatures is also low.
Nevertheless, following the guidelines of national and local authorities, Maruni Group is taking measures to encourage employees to work from home and to avoid commuting during rush hours. Basically, all business trips whether domestic or international, are currently prohibited.
In addition to obligating employees to wear face masks and frequently wash their hands, Maruni Management Department is monitoring and recording all our employees’ health daily.
