Maruni Wood Industry’s Hiroshima folding chair won the Good Design Award 2013 (sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion). Furthermore, it was also selected for the Good Design – Best 100.

Established in 1957, the Good Design Award is a movement for comprehensive design evaluation and promotion, and has developed as a movement to improve Japanese industrialization and living culture through design. Today, it is a global design award that many corporations and organizations, both domestic and abroad, participate in.
The Hiroshima folding chair is not only beautiful for its wooden look and the way it leans, but is also a wooden folding chair that ensures proper strength as a chair. We are very honored that it was chosen for such award.

We plan to introduce it as one of this year’s award-winning works at the “Good Design Exhibition 2013”, an award exhibition held at Tokyo Midtown, beginning October 30 (Wed).
